Returns & Refunds Policy (GMR – Graham Martin Racing)

This policy explains how returns, exchanges, refunds, and warranty issues work when you buy from GMR – Graham Martin Racing (“we”, “us”, “our”) via gmracing.co.uk.

1) Your rights (UK customers)

If you are a UK consumer (buying as an individual, not a business), you have legal rights under the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013 (online purchases) and the Consumer Rights Act 2015.

This policy is designed to be clear and fair, and it does not affect your statutory rights.


2) Standard (non-custom) products — 14-day change-of-mind returns

If you change your mind about a standard, non-custom product, you can request a return within 14 days of receiving it.

To qualify:

  • The item must be unused, unfitted, and in resalable condition

  • Returned with all accessories and original packaging (where reasonably possible)

  • You must provide your order number and the item(s) to be returned

Refunds:
If the return is approved and the goods are received/inspected, we’ll refund the price you paid for the returned item(s). If you paid for delivery, we’ll also refund the standard outbound delivery charge (where applicable), in line with consumer law.

Return postage:
For change-of-mind returns, you pay return shipping.


3) Custom / made-to-order products (important)

Many GMR components are made to order or built to customer requirements (e.g., custom port geometry, injector position, bespoke fitment). Because these are personalised goods, change-of-mind returns are not accepted for items that are made to your specification, particularly once manufacture has started.

This includes (but isn’t limited to):

  • Custom or “built to spec” intake manifolds

  • Parts made to a supplied drawing/trace/template

  • Special-order sizes, patterns, finishes, coatings, or bespoke mounting configurations

If you need to cancel a custom order:
Contact us as soon as possible. If we haven’t started manufacture, we may be able to cancel. If work has started, we may charge for:

  • materials already ordered/used

  • labour completed to date

  • any non-recoverable supplier costs


4) Exchanges

If you ordered the wrong standard item (for example, wrong size/spec), we may offer an exchange if the item is unused and the return is requested within 14 days.

  • You cover return shipping

  • Any difference in product price may be charged/refunded

  • Shipping costs for the replacement item may apply

Custom-made items generally cannot be exchanged unless faulty.


5) Faulty, damaged, or incorrect items

If your order:

  • arrives damaged

  • is faulty

  • or we sent the wrong item

…please contact us as soon as possible (and ideally within 48 hours of delivery) with:

  • your order number

  • photos of the item and packaging

  • a short description of the issue

Where an issue is confirmed, we will offer (as appropriate):

  • a replacement

  • a repair

  • or a refund

For confirmed faults/incorrect supply, we will cover reasonable return shipping costs or provide a returns method.


6) How to request a return

Email info@gmracing.co.uk with:

  • Order number

  • Item(s) you want to return

  • Reason for return (change of mind / incorrect / faulty / damaged)

  • Photos (if faulty/damaged)

If your return is accepted, we will reply with return instructions and the correct return address.

Please do not send items back without contacting us first—unannounced returns may be delayed or refused.


7) Refund timings

Once we receive and inspect the returned item(s):

  • We aim to process refunds within 5–10 business days

  • Refunds are issued to the original payment method

  • Payment providers/banks may take additional time to show the refund

If an item is returned used, fitted, damaged, or incomplete, we may refuse the return or reduce the refund to reflect loss in value (where permitted by law).


8) Non-returnable items

Unless faulty, we do not accept returns for:

  • Custom/made-to-order items (see Section 3)

  • Items that have been installed, fitted, modified, or used

  • Items returned without key components/accessories

  • Items damaged due to incorrect installation, misuse, or alteration

  • Clearance/seconds items sold explicitly “as described” (your statutory rights still apply if faulty)


9) Fitting, installation, and compatibility

Performance and motorsport components often require correct installation, setup, and tuning.

  • It is your responsibility to ensure the product is suitable for your intended use and compatible with your vehicle/setup.

  • We recommend installation by a competent professional where appropriate.

  • We cannot accept returns for issues caused by incorrect installation, modification, or use outside the intended specification.

10) Off-road use only and legal compliance (important)

All products sold by GMR – Graham Martin Racing are intended for off-road / motorsport use only, unless explicitly stated otherwise in writing.

You are solely responsible for:

  • ensuring the purchase, installation, and use of any aftermarket automotive component is legal in your country/region, and

  • ensuring your vehicle remains compliant with any applicable roadworthiness, emissions, noise, insurance, type-approval, and motorsport regulations.

GMR – Graham Martin Racing accepts no responsibility for unlawful use, road use where prohibited, or any infringement of local laws or regulations arising from the fitment or use of our products. If you are unsure about legality or compliance, you should seek advice from a qualified professional or relevant authority before purchasing or fitting.


11) Shipping (UK and worldwide)

We ship to the UK and international destinations. Delivery times and costs vary by location and service selected at checkout.

For international orders:

  • You may be responsible for import duties, taxes, and clearance fees charged by your country (these are not controlled by us).

  • Couriers may require information to complete customs clearance.


12) Warranty

Our products are supplied with warranty rights under UK consumer law. Any additional warranty offered on specific products will be described on the relevant product page and/or order documentation.

Warranty does not cover:

  • wear and tear

  • accidental damage

  • damage caused by incorrect installation, over-tightening, impact, foreign object ingestion, or engine/tuning issues

  • use outside intended application or specification

13) Business-to-business (trade) orders

If you purchase on behalf of a business, different rights may apply. Change-of-mind returns are offered at our discretion unless otherwise agreed in writing.
