Description
GMR PPA-CF Carbon Composite Filament for FDM printing
Formulated specifically for the production of our own high-end carbon composite components, GMR PPA-CF is a serious engineering material for users who want to manufacture functional, automotive-grade parts with confidence. Built around a semi-aromatic nylon and carbon fibre system, it combines very high stiffness, strong flexural performance, low moisture-related property loss, and excellent thermal capability, making it well suited to demanding under-bonnet and structural applications. Our PPA-CF materials has a flexural strength of 214 MPa, heat deflection performance up to 227°C, and a Young’s modulus of 12.5GPa, with only 1.30% saturated water absorption.
This is not a beginner material and it is not sold as a generic filament. It is aimed at builders, engineers, and fabricators who want access to the same material class, process knowledge, and support behind our own composite component development. The result is a filament capable of producing lightweight, rigid, heat-tolerant parts with a level of performance that makes it attractive for motorsport, engineering, prototyping, fixtures, jigs, and automotive component manufacture.
To get the best from the material, correct process control is essential.
